The first few clients feel overwhelming.

You create all the materials and protocols from scratch. It's time-consuming, but it feels necessary—"we all felt that we need to provide them with everything."

But you can't do that for every new client or athlete.

Dr. James Morehen's approach: standardise everything and "make protocols which will eventually become your signature program."

Start by mapping the journey. Where do clients begin? What are their pain points? Where do you want them at the end?

Four areas need standardisation:

Onboarding: What information do you actually need? Create one questionnaire. Don't overwhelm them—"sometimes less is more."

Check-ins: Weekly messages, bi-weekly calls. "Find a balance between providing support, and taking care of your time."

Delivery: Build templates as you go. You don't need 10 education templates upfront.

Payment: Upfront with discount versus monthly billing. Consider your cash flow needs and client preferences.

Map your client journey from start to finish. Identify which materials you recreate for every client. Build one template at a time as real needs emerge.

And remember: "Give them space to operate without you so they can sharpen their skillset."
