Expert Opinion
DR. SAM SCOTT ENHANCE-D CEO

"Very Intense Anaerobic Exercise Can Cause A Very Sharp Increase In Blood Glucose."
Dr. Scott's research reveals the exercise-glucose paradox many practitioners miss.
"Like in aerobic exercise, so longer exercise, the muscle contractions, they basically act similar to how insulin is in that they cause your muscles to take up insulin and it causes a reduction in blood glucose," Dr. Scott explains.
But here's the crucial twist:
"On the other hand, very intense anaerobic exercise like heavy weight lifting or sprinting. This can cause a very sharp increase in blood glucose."
The physiological why matters: "This is because there are different hormones that were released, such as adrenaline, which cause a big release of glucose from the liver."

Enhance-d
This insight drove Dr. Scott to create Enhanced—an app that combines glucose monitoring with exercise data because "it's not as simple as just exercise causes one type of thing and you need to take account of it."
Enhanced visualises how specific workouts affect glucose patterns. As Dr. Scott notes: "Different types of exercise will traditionally result in a different blood response. If you know that, then you can also front foot it."
For athletes with diabetes, this insight is critical for both performance and health.

GEMINI DEEP RESEARCH

Staying expert in performance nutrition demands constant learning.
Gemini Deep Research fundamentally rewires this process.
Imagine accessing insights from hundreds of websites and studies in minutes, not days. This represents a revolutionary leap in research capabilities.
Crucially, this power comes with transparency. Gemini Deep Research operates with full references, showing its work by linking directly back to source material, allowing for critical evaluation.
Honestly? It's mind-blowing. We're facing an existential moment where the friction, the sheer cost of acquiring deep, specialised knowledge, is plummeting toward zero.
